Class 6

Welcome to Class 6

ABOUT CLASS 6

The Class teacher is Mr Davies and the class L.S.A is Mrs Matthews. Miss Jones also works in our class on a Monday and Tuesday.

We follow a topic based approach to learning. We will being starting the Autumn term with the 'Problem Plastic! topic. We will be learning all about the current issues if plastic in the oceans. We plan on ending the topic with an assembly to share our work. Parents - look out for the invites to attend after half-term.

We believe it is very important to give pupils the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. Pupils have many opportunities to visit different places, some of which include:

  • Completing the MSC Beach Clean and Survey at Freshwater West beach
  • Carew Control Tower to learn about life during WW1 and WW2
  • Llanelli WWT to learn about adaptations and migratory patters of different birds
  • Scolton Manor WW2 Christmas experience
  • Lydstep Haven beach investigation to learn about seashore habitats with Darwin
  • Crucial Crew in Haverfordwest
  • Preseli Mountains field trip
  • University of Wales Trinity Saint David to learn about University life
  • Art enhancement trips to various landscape locations (Carew, Stackpole)
  • Beach maths on various days
  • Bushcraft day at Stackpole

and of course... LONDON - our two day, whistle-stop tour of our capital city taking in the Natural History Museum, a flight on the London Eye, a West-end Show, a tour of the Houses of Parliament and lots of opportunities to explore the sites and sounds of this fascinating city.
