HOMEWORK

Although not mandatory, homework is encouraged to consolidate learning and best prepare your child for national testing.  Any support you can give your child with homework would be appreciated.

Learning Logs - Learning logs will be sent home each half term to research specific subjects.

We ask you to listen to your child read three or four nights per week.  We encourage the children to read a variety of material not just their reading book.  Remember the library offers free membership and has a wonderful range of books for the children to access. In addition to this the internet has a large variety of reading genres and games.

Multiplication facts are important  and chanting regularly at home is beneficial, the internet provides a variety of games to help learn these.  If possible any support you can give your child learning to tell the time would be appreciated.  This needs to be on both the analogue and 24 hour digital clock.
